CONSIGNMENT

 

The Belchers welcome consignments daily — they’ll be featured in the shop for 90 days. When you’re thinking about what you might want to consign, think “Saleable,” “Desirable” and “Ready to Go.”

 

AGREEMENT

  • The items are to be deliverd to Main St. Furniture Co. on a  consignment basis.

 

  • Main St. Furniture Co. shall accept possession of the items and sell the items for your account at a cost specified by Main St. Furniture Co. Main St. furniture Co. will collect and pay applicable sales tax.

 

  • Tilte of the items will pass directly from me to the purchaser. I represent and warrant that I am the owner of the items consigned.

 

  • All proceeds receieved from the sale shall be available for me to pick up within fourteen days of the sale of the consigned item. I understand that all proceeds not picked up after six months from the sale date shall be void. 

 

  • Compensation for the consigner shall be fifty percent of the price at which items are sold. Main St. Funriture Co. will not bill for rental of the space of the consigners item(s).

 

  • If at any time Main St. Furniture Co. shall deem it advisable to return items prior to their sale, Main st Furniture Co. will notify the consigner and they shall pick up items within fourteen days of notice. If the consigner fails to pick up the item(s) within fourteen days, Main St. Furniture Co. may donate the items as deemed appropriate.

 

  • The consignment period shall be deemed ninety days.
